Your pet gets 24 hour caring, professional supervision by the OWNERS. Our kennel has warm friendly radiant heated, porcelain tile floors. This is the most cleanable, hygienic and durable surface money can buy. With porcelain tile floors and our RADIANT HEAT system, we have spared no expense for your dog's comfort and safety. Our kennel has WARM, DRY floors! The owners, Smitty & Sandy have 55 years of combined full time professional animal care and training experience. We are open 7 days per week for your convenience. Come anytime we are open for a tour of our kennel. Don't leave your dog anywhere where they won't give you a FULL tour!
Our "Country Kennel" is located on a quiet dead end street 3/4 mile from any main road. We have 2 acres fenced in with 6' chain link around the entire property for your dogs' protection. Each dog has his/her own indoor suite 4' by 13', connected by their own doorway to his/her own outdoor exercise area 4' X 18'. EACH DOG HAS IT'S OWN INDIVIDUAL INDOOR AND OUTDOOR RUN AND NEVER COMES INTO DIRECT CONTACT WITH OTHER DOGS.The Smith Family owns and operates the kennel and WE LIVE AT THE KENNEL! So we have 24 hour supervision by the owners! The ultimate in pet care.
The owners, Smitty & Sandy, have owned many Champions, Obedience Titled, Tracking titled, and Schutzhund titled dogs. Dogs are not only our occupation, they are our hobby as well! We love animals so much, we own not only dogs but also 4 horses, 4 chickens and 3 cats.
RATES:
We charge for the # of nights, plus an extra day if you drop off in the AM and pickup PM.
Dogs that weigh LESS THAN:
Dogs 12 years or older - $30/day

Extra playtime is
available for $3 for 1/2 hour in a grass exercise yard (30 feet by 100 feet)
which is fenced. No contact with other dogs is allowed.
To determine boarding charges,
Smitty's counts each night that the dog is in the kennel, and if you drop off
in the morning and pickup in the evening you pay for an extra day.
The second dog in the same run is $2 off the daily rate.
The monthly rate is $525 for one dog and $750 for two together in the same
run. To get the monthly rate (discount) you MUST pay for the month IN ADVANCE.
The daily rate for cats is $14 per day for one cat, and additional cats are $12
per day each. Monthly rate for cats is $250 for one and $175 for each
additional cat. Monthly rate must be paid in advance.
Visits while your dog is boarding, are charged as an extra day's board. There
is a $40 minimum boarding charge off peak, and a $50 minimum boarding charge on
holidays, and weekends in the summer. We charge $3 per day for refrigeration of food or medicine. For medicine administration, we charge $1 per dose for
pills and $3 per dose for eye drops, ear drops, insulin injections, or
application of saves.

Expressway (LIE 495).
Middle Island is between Yaphank, Rocky Point, Coram and
Ridge. On the way to the Hamptons, East End, North Fork and South Fork.
HOURS OF OPERATION: We are open:
7 AM until 11 AM - 7 Days per week, 365 days/year
5 PM until 7 PM. (Except closed Sat EVES & Holiday EVES)
On major holidays we are only open in the morning from 7 AM till 11 AM. These include: New Years day and eve, Christmas day and eve, Memorial day, July 4th, Labor day, Thanksgiving, Easter Sunday, Passover, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Chanukah, Yom Kippur, Rosh Hashanah, and a few assorted other days through the year which we will inform you of if you make a reservation on those days.
Off hours pickup/drop off are
sometimes available for a $15-$25 extra charge.
However, please note: THERE ARE NO APPOINTMENTS! It's "hit and miss".
SHOTS:
We require PROOF of 3
shots, and we can do all vaccinations here.
1: Distemper (Yearly
"Combo" or "Booster", DHLPP or DA2PPL. Can last 1, 2 or 3
years)
2: Rabies (R Rabies vaccine can last 1 or 2 or 3 years, must be indicated on
paperwork)
3: Kennel Cough (Also called: "Bordetella") (This vaccine is NOT
given regularly by many veterinarians)
DO NOT FORGET TO BRING
PROOF OF SHOTS
WITH YOU TO THE KENNEL WHEN YOU COME TO DROP OFF YOUR DOG!
It must show expiration dates or reminder dates or due dates, in other
words, how long the vaccination is good for.
ORIGINAL Proof must show the dates the shots are valid!
or the dates when they expire. Please bring originals
if possible,
we do not keep your paperwork.
We prefer NOT to see "checklists" of shots without indication of the
dates when each shot is valid until. We can call the vet to confirm shots (if
they are open) if your
paperwork does not comply.
RESERVATIONS:
Previous Customer: If you are a previous customer of Smitty's: Call or email us your name, phone #, state that you are a previous customer, give the dates to leave the dog, and you are set. You will receive confirmation.
New Customer: If you have never left a dog here before, call (631-345-0000), press 9 and leave your: Name, Phone #, # of dogs, dates to board, and for the NON-refundable deposit ($25/dog, LEAVE: your credit card #, the expiration date, the 3 or 4 digit code on the card, and the zip code the credit card bills go to. You will recieve a confirmation.
FLEAS:
All dogs are checked carefully upon arrival and dipped if they have any SIGNS of fleas. The charge is $25, except very large longhaired dogs: $35. Please DO NOT put any flea remedy/prevention on your dog less than 10 days before bringing him/her to the kennel (eg. Frontline, Advantage, etc.)
FOOD, TOYS, BEDS, ETC.
You may bring your own food and we will feed that to
your dog/cat as no extra charge. You may bring any bedding (we discourage
large pillows and large stuffed beds,
they are too hard to wash). Please DO NOT bring bowls, dishes or crates for dogs.
Please do bring your cat's carrying crate.
BATHS & GROOMING:
Baths are available before going home
for $15 - $35.
In addition to the bath we can also cut your dog's nails and clean it's ears AND brush
him/her out for $25 - $35 (and up for
large/longhaired).
FULL GROOMING service is also available from shave off's to fancy breed cuts.
FORMS OF PAYMENT:
We accept cash and all major credit cards.
There is a 3% DISCOUNT FOR CASH.

NY for boarding dogs in a kennel facility in Brookhaven Town on Eastern L.I. or LI, (short for
Long Island NY, N.Y.), New York, USA. Our Suffolk Dog Boarding kennel is top
notch, state of the art. We are near LONG ISLAND Expressway Rt 495 exit 66. We board your dog in our dog boarding
kennels, PET CARE is our speciality, our kennel here in New York on Long Island
in Suffolk County, NY. We prefer a kennel like ours to daycare as a pet hotel, or pet motel, or animal motel, as
well as for overnight stays. If you are looking for a pet watcher for pet
watching, we are a pet watch service. I think a dog kennel is better for dogs kenneling or boarding.
Kennels are better suited for kenneling or bording a dog in Eastern long island. Kennel is the
proper spelling, not kenel or kennal or kenell. We are one of the most state of the art kennels in New York State
or the Untied States.
We have customers use our kennel from Nassau County, Queens, Brooklyn, Manhattan, ny.
Most of our boarding dogs are from Suffolk and Nassau county. But many find it's worth the trip
from Queens, Brooklyn, Manhattan on their way to the hamptons, eastern Long Island, the east end of
Long Island, L.I., LI, NY.We also board cats in our cattery (not kats).
Dogs and Cats are kept separate, there are no dogs in our cat area and no cats in our dog kennel.
Other animals we accept are birds, cats, parrots, cockatiels, rats, mice, mouse,
gerbil, rabbit, pidgeon, rat, mice, mouse, snake, lizard, iguana.
